This took place a little later than the Harlock ripoff. Now I was leaning on another Harmony Gold anime for my inspiration: this time, Robotech. What little I can find of this story amply demonstrates why 12-year-olds should not attempt to seriously write about the military, especially when all their inspiration comes from cartoons.
This was actually page 2. There's a page 1 around somewhere, a splash page of an aerial dogfight in those Robotech-looking planes, but I can't find it.
